How to Send Mail or Package

Inmates may receive personal letters as long as they are sent in plain white envelopes. All letters are opened and investigated for contraband. They should be addressed as follows:

Money may be deposited into an inmate’s account using the kiosk in the front foyers of the Law Enforcement Center, which is open 24 hours a day. Up to $150 per week may be added to an inmate’s commissary account by phone (866-422-6833). Commissary deposits incur a $4 + 4% processing fee. Up to $50 per week may be used to purchase hygiene items or undergarments for an inmate by phone (888-634-0034).

Visitation Hours

Inmate visits are all conducted by video, either from stations in the lobby of the Bay County jail or remotely from an internet capable device with a camera. Visits can be scheduled 7 days a week from 8am to 11am, 12pm to 4pm, 5pm to 6:30pm, and 7:30pm to 11pm. Inmates are allowed 1 free 20-minute on-site visit per week. These must be held from the video visitation stations in the jail lobby. For on-site visits, select “Scheduler” to determine which machine your visit is scheduled on. Wait until 1 minute prior to the scheduled visitation time to sign in. For remote visits, a Securus Online account is required. To enroll your computer, take a photo of your ID with your webcam. You will receive a confirmation email once your account is approved. On the day of the visit, login 15 minutes prior to the scheduled visitation time. Remote visits can be either 20 minutes (at a charge of $6.99) or 40 minutes (at a charge of $13.99).

Bay County Public Records Information

Public records may be requested in person, by mail or email, or through the Bay County’s online request portal. The preferred method is online via the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Request Portal. An email address is required for such submissions, though records can also be delivered through the mail or picked up in person. The records requested should be described in as much detail as possible. Fees for records ($ .10 per paper copy and labor costs billed in 15-minute increments) may be paid online.
