Gratoit County Jail Information and Inmate Search

The Gratoit County Jail is located in Ithaca, Michigan. It underwent a renovation in 2001 and now has a capacity of 70 inmates. The staff includes 13 full-time members, a jail administrator, and up to 6 temporary corrections officers at a given time. It obtains revenue through inmate phone and commissary systems, as well as a diverted felony program.

The County Jail hosts its roster on Jail Tracker. The roster may be searched by name or browsed. It is organized by name and booking date. Information includes inmates’ names, birthdates, descriptions, arresting officer and agency, charges, booking dates, and mugshots.

How to Send Mail or Package

Care packages may be sent to inmates through eXpressAccount’s website. Commissary funds may also be deposited through the same website. An account is required to deposit funds or order packages.

Gratoit County Sheriff Information

The county jail is operated by the Gratoit County Sheriff’s Office. Its services also include a Road Patrol, Marine Patrol, Secondary Road Patrol, and Drug Enforement. The current Sheriff is Michael Morris. The office is open 8am to 3pm Monday through Friday.

To submit a FOIA request, records must be described in detail and the requestor’s name and contact information provided. Gratoit County provides a FOIA Request Form on their website. Fees for FOIA records including copying and/or mailing costs and labor costs billed at 15 minute increments. They may be requested in person or by mail, email, or fax.
