Ionia County Jail Information and Inmate Search
The Ionia County Correctional Facility is located in Ionia, Michigan. Built in 1990 and expanded in 2004 and 2013, it has a rated capacity of 141 beds. The jail runs a number of programs for inmates and encourages Ionia county residents and businesses to support these programs. How to Send Mail or Package
Personal mail to inmates of Ionia County Jail is limited to plain white stamped postcards no larger than 3 ¼“ by 5 ½“ . Stamps must be pre-inked by the US Post Office. Photo postcards are also accepted if stamped or sent from a third party publisher, such as flikshop.com. Money orders made out in an inmate’s name may be sent in envelopes, but must be the only item contained in the envelope. All correspondence must include the first and last name of the sender and a return address. Mail to inmates should be addressed as follows:

In addition to mailed money orders, funds may be deposited into inmates’ accounts in several ways. Cash, credit, and debit cards are accepted at the Lobby Cashier. One dollar bills are not accepted and the maximum deposit is $100. There is a $3.25 service fee deducted from cash deposits and a $7.95 service fee added to credit/debit card deposits. To deposit money at the Lobby Cashier, an inmate’s jacket number or date of birth is required. Money may also be added to inmates’ accounts through GovPay’s website or phone line (1-888-277-2535). GovPay requires the inmates name and resident number, facility code (Y70), and pay location code (#5500–Commissary Deposit). Funds may also be deposited online via AccessCorrection’s website. MoneyGrams may also be purchased and sent electronically from WalMart. They require the following information: company name (SCC Inmate Funding), receive code (7950), and account number (Y70).
