Antrim County Jail Information and Inmate Search

The Antrim County Jail is a facility located in Bellaire, Michigan. Since being built in 1955, it has been renovated and expanded. It now has a rated capacity of 56 inmates. It is staffed by 14 full-time deputies, 4 corporals, and a jail administrator. The staff also includes a food service director, full-time cook, a full-time nurse, and a part-time nurse and part-time doctor. The jail serves the 86th District Court, the 13th Circuit Court, and the Probate Court & Family Court.

How to Send Mail or Package

Personal mail should be sent to inmates through the US Postal Service. Letters may not contain glitter, stickers, unknown odors or substances, stamps, envelopes or extra paper. They should be written in blue or black ink, pencil, or typed. Mail should be addressed to:

Funds may be added to an inmate’s account using cash or debit/credit cards at the Stellar Teller kiosk in the jail lobby. Money may also be added electronically through JailATM.

Visitation Hours

Inmates at Antrim County Jail may receive one visit per week. Visits are limited to 30 minutes. The visitation schedule is organized by gender. Female inmates can be visited on Thursday from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm. Male inmates can be visited Saturdays from 9am to 11am, 2pm to 4pm, and 6pm to 8pm. All visitors 16 years of age or older must have an ID and their name must be on the approved visitation list filed during an inmate’s intake process. The list can include 6 names and can be updated monthly. No cell phones or other electronics devices are permitted in the visitation room.

Antrim County Sheriff Information

The Antrim County Sheriff’s Office is located in Bellaire, Michigan. It is open from 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday. The current Sheriff is Kevin S. Hoch.The Undersheriff is George Lasater and the Jail Administrator is Sgt. Sherry Knight. The Sheriff’s Office will be moving locations at the end of November 2023.

The Antrim County Administrator is the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Coordinator for the county. To access public records from the Antrim County Sheriff’s Office, an FOIA request may be emailed, faxed, mailed, or delivered in person to the Antrim County Building.
