Visitation Hours

To schedule a remote or in-person visit, one must contact the Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Office. Onsite visits are 30 minutes maximum and are conducted 5 days a week. Visits are by appointment and must be scheduled 24 hours in advance. Both visitors and inmates must abide by jail rules as the visit is being conducted. Violation of visitation rules will result in the visit being terminated and visitation privileges will be revoked for the individual who committed the violation.

To look up information about an inmate, individuals have the ability tto use the VINE website at www.vinelink.com. The VINE website offers a search function that allows the individual to look up an inmate based on the state they are located in and their name, ID number, or case number. The individual is then directed to a webpage including all the matches for the search criteria. Among the information available in the search results is the inmate’s name, age, and record details will be made visible. The inmate’s case status, case number, and plea status are also shown. The agency that reported the crime is also listed along with their address and contact information.
